How to actvate spell checking in version 1.8.3

I newly installed source tree. In options I checked to use english spell checking for commit messages. Nevertheless typographical errors aren't recognized in any way. What do I have to do to activate spell checking?

In my case the solution was to add english language package for spellchecking in windows. By default Windows installation contains spellchecking for system language only.

Same problem here. It never worked for me since the feature was introduced. Windows 10 64bit pro here.
