Hi Everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone has previous experience with approaches to using Jira or JSM (or some magical NFP feature I haven’t explored yet) to accomodate a Grant Funding process where the funder (and research team) requires sight of progress towards one or many ‘funding milestones’.
The key requirement is to enable reporting using plans.
We’re using Jira Premium, JSM Premium, Confluence Premium and JPD Premium. So we have excellent capabilities available to us. Our research teams are using Jira and we have a hierarchy of Theme -> Initiative -> Epic etc.
It would be great to hear how others have approached this.
many thanks,
Bree
Hi Bree,
I am currently using Jira to manage all restricted post-award grants at my organization and some pre-award work (as needed). This new process (in use for ~9 months) has given more ownership of grant execution to the programs team, while maintaining my needed line of sight into grant work and activities to make reporting and KPI tracking easier.
This has worked exceptionally well with our engineering team and marketing team who already use Jira and sprint planning in their day to day work flows.
Happy to connect and show you how we are using Jira if it would be helpful!
Best,

Hi Mary,
The approach you've shared aligns well with our teams needs to have autonomy in their ways of working whilst still providing that alignment and an appropriate level of oversight and governance.
I'd really appreciate the opportunity to connect, that would be really useful. My email is bree.campbell@thekids.org.au.
Kind regards,
Bree
