đź«’ How a traditional Olive Oil company turned Confluence into their Knowledge Hub

Confluence is often seen as “just” documentation. But in the case of Aceites Abasa, a Spanish olive oil producer, it became much more: the backbone of their transformation.

Before Confluence, their knowledge was scattered:

  • SOPs and quality guidelines lived in different files.

  • Meeting notes were lost in email threads.

  • Different teams (lab, production, quality, sales) had their own version of “the truth.”

When they rolled out Confluence, something powerful happened:

  • Centralization: every process, guideline, and note had a clear home.

  • Searchability: instead of “ask MarĂa for the file,” teams could find info instantly.

  • Consistency: templates, page structures, and permissions ensured quality.

  • Collaboration: instead of working in silos, departments started building knowledge together.

Confluence didn’t just improve documentation; it improved trust in the documentation. And when everyone trusts the system, collaboration flows.

@Antonio RodrĂguez _Deiser_ I translated it as I don't read in Spanish. Can you tell me more about the document management side:

Another of the great advances has been in document management. Now, stakeholders not only consume documentation, but create it and keep it updated in Confluence.

I'm asking as the longer term content management is what we focus on with our Space Content Manager app (bulk editing) so I'm interested to learn about any particular needs they have.
