My dev team almost solely uses the active sprint view. In the old navigation, the sprint dates and remaining days were displayed clearly at the top, so the team knew when the sprint would end.
Now, this information is buried under this non-obvious-looking icon of an arrow:
So my dev team doesn't know when sprints end anymore. Yes, they can click on this button or check the backlog, but it's a loss of information from the previous navigation.
Anyone else going through the same thing with their team or is it just mine who got comfortable having all the information on the active sprint view?
There is a suggestion in the backlog about this you can vote for:
JRACLOUD-93338 Add the Sprint details in the New Jira navigation layout for the Sprint
This was one of the items listed in my post about the new Nav:
Our feelings about the new nav
Honestly, I avoid that view as much as possible since we shifted to using Confluence Whiteboards for visualising our sprints.
It lets us layer the Goals, Ways of Working, Resource Allocation etc all into one view, and lets us use two-dimensional backlogs aka Story Boards. It's almost as good for team engagement as a Physical wall.
Thanks for this, we are moving to cloud with whiteboard feature and I hundred percent think a lot of questions are going to come out. So its great to hear how you are using it and gives me ideas on what I can let our teams know.
@Marine Redon , yes we also miss this information and already got two feature request. I don´t think this should be a feature request, as this information was already in place before. We need it.
