A user inadvertently created a duplicate issue in Structure when trying to move it. We tried to remove the duplicate, but get an error that states: "Child issue is a sub-task. You were removing (issue link)." When we click acknowledge (the only option in the pop up) it reverts the deletion and the duplicate is back. Any ideas on how to remove this duplicate, Structure documentation only talks about how to identify duplicates.
@Melissa Wheeler In case you were looking for an answer. I found out that given the message, it sounds like there was an Extender (Generator) applied to the Structure and sounds to me like the option to be able to make changes to Jira through Structure was not selected at the time of the creation of the Generator/Extender.
The only other thing to do in this case was to figure out what was causing the duplicate. In our case the issue met the criteria to be picked up by two different levels of the structure because of some incorrect data, once we cleared the incorrect data, the issue got corrected.
