Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to provide installation, upgrade, development and integration of the Atlassian platform and suite of products.

We make extensive use of Amazon Web Services so the successful applicant needs knowledge of how to set up & run servers, monitor performance, resolve problems and enhance automation.

This position also involves research/learning of new software and plugins to support the variety of environments our clients have.

To be qualified for this role, you should hold a degree in a relevant field, equal or equivalent to Computer Science, Information Technology or similar certification.

Job Description

  • Supporting delivery of projects - both internal and to external clients

  • Researching, learning and disseminating knowledge to the team of new software & technologies

  • Writing technical documentation such as documenting processes and user guides for integrated tools and scripts

  • Participating in team stand up and client meetings

  • Reporting activity progress to the team, Project Manager, clients and stakeholders

  • Support for other technical and functional activities

  • Ensure all work is tested thoroughly so that it is error-free and deliver the business logic expected

  • Problem-solving skill / Root cause analysis

  • Mentoring & knowledge sharing towards the team

  • Other relevant duties may be assigned from time to time

Skills (the more, the better): 

  • Solid debugging & troubleshooting skills 

  • Scripting languages - e.g., Python, Groovy, Golang, RESTfull API and etc (MUST HAVE)
  • Experience in RDBMS administration - Preferable Postgresql (MUST HAVE)
  • Containerization - Docker, Kubernetes
  • Knowledgeable in Cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud & Alibaba (MUST HAVE)

  • Knowledge of IT Operations & SDLC 

  • Security mechanisms such as SSL, Operating system hardening, Network security

  • Familiarity of Java Web Framework (Spring, Tomcat server)
  • Unix OS experience
  • Knowledgeable of Atlassian tool suite, mainly JIRA / Confluence / Bamboo / Bitbucket - Administration, Configuration, Installation and Upgrades
  • Performance / Functional testing technologies - e.g Selenium, JMeter, RobotFramework
  • Experience in CICD tools (Preferable Bamboo, Bitbucket Pipeline, AWS Code pipeline)

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post-Graduate/Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3+ years working experience in related field

  • Excellent in verbal and written communications

  • Excellent in problem-solving

  • Ability to communicate at all business levels

  • Ability to liaise with clients remotely as well as on-site

  • Willingness to continuously study for and attain new industry-related qualifications
