I'm looking for Sr Atlassian Engineering consultants for a contract position with a leading EV company in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm looking for someone who has building REST API based integrations, can build custom business workflows & solutions on top of Atlassian Jira cloud. Below are some additional details.
Location: Newark, CA (will need to work 3 days onsite per week to start)
Start date: Immediately
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, configure, and maintain advanced Jira Cloud projects, including custom workflows, issue types, screen schemes, and permission schemes to support engineering and business needs.
- Build and manage complex Jira automations to streamline business processes and improve team efficiency.
- Develop and maintain custom integrations between Jira and third-party SaaS applications using REST APIs and webhooks.
- Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored Jira solutions aligned with team objectives.
- Write and maintain custom scripts and tools using languages like Python, Java, or C++ to enhance Jira functionality and automate tasks.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Jira performance and user experience across the organization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Jira Cloud best practices, governance, and scalability as they continue to grow their Atlassian footprint.
- Partner with cross-functional IT and engineering teams to support new initiatives, drive tool adoption, and implement efficient, scalable solutions.
