Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a Junior Product Manager with 2–5 years of experience who enjoys real-world problem solving, gaining actionable insights from customer interactions, and driving product success. We want you on our team if you are a natural problem solver, an excellent communicator, and enjoy making ideas a reality!

Qualifications:

  • Graduation: Any

  • Post Graduation: Any

Must-Have Skills (KSA: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Customer Insights & Problem Solving: The ability to use data analysis and interviews to extract practical answers.

  • Product Roadmap Planning: Strong knowledge of prioritisation and roadmap development methods.

  • Wireframing & UX Understanding: Familiarity with product wireframe creation tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, Adobe XD or Figma.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: The ability to use analytics and feedback to optimise product features.

  • Good Communication and Collaboration: Implement product strategies with ease while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have!)

  • Practical knowledge of Confluence, Jira, or other specialised requirement management software.

  • Expertise in user story mapping for effective requirement organisation and prioritisation.

  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations across multiple functions.

Your Key Responsibilities at Amoeboids

As a Junior Product Manager, you will be responsible for: 

Requirement Identification & Management

  • Using fundamentals of customer interview techniques to gather insights and comprehend customer requirements effectively. 

  • Converting interview data into actionable items. Uses affinity mapping or journey mapping to organize and analyze customer feedback effectively. 

  • Identifying common patterns or pain points from customer feedback. 

  • Prioritising information based on importance and feasibility from all stakeholders. 

  • Understanding the purpose of wireframes in defining layout, structure, and functionality. 

  • Using tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD for basic features or screens with simple features or functionalities.

Product Roadmap Planning

  • Using the fundamentals of product roadmap planning, including its purpose, key components, and how it aligns with the overall product strategy. 

  • Implementing prioritisation frameworks such as MoSCoW or Impact Vs. Effort for helping informed decisions.

  • Working on the roadmap based on changing priorities, market conditions, and feedback from customers and stakeholders. 

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Grasping the fundamental purpose of UAT and its role in the product development process. 

  • Identifying straightforward test cases for a product in collaboration with the QA team. Think from the user’s perspective, outlining scenarios to test core functionalities. 

  • Ensuring resolution on bugs found in UAT before releases.

  • Prioritizing bugs based on severity (critical, major, minor) and likelihood (frequent, occasional, rare).

 Release Management

  • Documenting release plans and schedules and communicating them effectively with the development team and other stakeholders. Ensures all are aligned on the goals and timelines.

  • Identifying potential risks that could impact the release schedule and how to mitigate them. This involves understanding dependencies, resource constraints, and other factors that could affect the release.

  • Managing various stakeholders involved in the release process, including development teams, QA teams, marketing, sales, and customers. This includes managing expectations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment on priorities.
