Hi dear community

We are currently setting up the test management for our project and wanted to use the Test Sets for E2E-Tests. As far as I am aware there are no restrictions within the test set in any way which means, that if you have for example 4 different test cases as part of the E2E Test, it is possible to start the 4th test without the first 3 being done.

Is there a way to restrict the start of a test run?

ALSO:
is there a way to inform the assignee of the next test case that the previous test case has been completed automatically?

@Mebel ,

I would encourage keeping all the test sets separate for better management and also have different assignees for each test set. keeping those separate and having automation/manual assumptions to skip the test cases can result in miscommunication in the long run.

Best Regards,

Bibek

In Test Sets there are no restrictions..

In Xray DC there is a setting for controlling email notifications whenever you're executing some tests in a Test Execution (more info here). Unfortunately, that feature is not available on  Xray cloud. I would suggest to reach out the vendor asking for adding that feature also to cloud.
