Hi @Carlos Alberto Olvera Bringas

Subtasks do not need to be linked at all; the parent relationship is created automatically when you add them under Add > Child work item on the parent.

Both rows show the same key, MCY2026-18, so nothing is duplicated in your project. A subtask can only ever have one parent, and yours is correctly sitting under MCY2026-1.

What you see is, I guess, how List view works. It returns every work item that matches the current filter as its own row, and it also nests children under their parent. A subtask that matches the filter therefore shows up in both places.

I would open the Type filter above the list and deselect the subtask type. Only parent-level items remain as rows, and subtasks are still accessible via the chevron next to the parent.

Does deselecting the subtask type in the Type filter give you the single row you were expecting?

Cheers, Martin
