Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×We have two JIRA instances JIRA A & JIRA B, we want to create a common board where we can have an overview of the issues from both the instances. We have already tried Watchtower but the issue with it is that we are only able to change the status of the tickets; but we also want to change the priority of the tickets.
Hi @myadav
On behalf of a team behind WatchTower let me point you that with a card on WatchTower board you are one click away from opening ticket in a new tab, where you can change not only priority, but any other field of the issue. For doing that just click on a link behind issue-key
Not implementing that in WT was an intentional action, in order to eliminated complexity. As you can guess different Jiras might have different screens for editing issues( including special custom fields, etc) supporting that might cause more problems than benefits.
If you please - we can setup a demo, so that we can guide you through available use cases.
Regards, Andrey
Thanks for the info @Andriy Dekhtyar _Rozdoum_ the feature which I am looking for is to move the issues up or down on the basis of their priority within the same column. So that the team is aware to pick up the tasks from the "To Do" column as the tasks will be arranged from top to bottom on the basis of their priority and the team can pick up just by looking at the board.

ehm.. then probably it's not "priority", but "ranking"
still, at the moment not possible, but thanks for idea - we will put that into backlog. Thanks for idea
as possible workaround - you can organize that with help of swim-lanes, where you define what to put into "blocker" smiwlane with help of cross-Jira instance JQL in configuration.. I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but still a possible option

Thanks @Andriy Dekhtyar _Rozdoum_ do let me know whenever watchtower gets the arrange issues by ranking feature. It will be a perfect match for what we are looking.
