In the latest Jira release you have moved the transition issue dropdown to the left side under the item title.
It used to be on the right side.
As is often the case, the dev team at Jira doesn't actually use the product and thus misses the impact of these changes.
The transition issue dropdown is one of the MOST OFTEN USED features in Jira, and due to your change, the user MUST scroll to the top of the ticket EVERY TIME he/she wants to transition the issue. This is killing us.
PLEASE move it back to the TOP RIGHT under pinned fields, where it will ALWAYS be visible and easy to access. Simple stuff Jira Team- i hope you are listening.
Hi @David Brenner thanks for your post.
For the moment, Atlassian are saying they will not roll back this change - https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-articles/Easier-status-updates-for-work-items/ba-p/3068881
There is a suggestion you can vote on to be allowed to move the Status to where you want it - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-27789
or some people have started posting their workarounds in the comments of the original article.
Best wishes
Thanks
It's so unfortunate (and stupid)
I can't find any of these 'work arounds' as there are so many comments on the original ticket.
When a ticket gets tons of comments then you know that the dev team messed up. This happens way to often for a product that costs so much money.

Hi @David Brenner , someone posted something in github here - https://gist.github.com/msbence/3c87476c0ce3f1a0942d4c061e289a31
It was on the 7th page of comments, ha, so you had to dig deep!
If this helps you, great. If not, I guess we are all in the same boat having to wait for the next move of Atlassian.
Cheers

@David Brenner i feel you..
I mean look at all that white space
Hopefully they will fix this. However it's frustrating that the changes are "half way there". If you are going to ship a change, then do it good. This is just a change to show that "we are moving things".
