MCP Server 99% does not work in ChatGPT (Web to Desktop)

Team,

Have you really "tested" the MCP server in ChatGPT?

I did get it to read a Jira ticket only once in the past week, for the first time. Outside of that, ChatGPT either cannot find the MCP server (selected as a tool in the chat) or if it does, it cannot connect. It is 100% authorised, disconnected and reconnected. Nothing works.

Note: this is the MCP built into ChatGPT Business. I am the admin for our Atlassian and ChatGPT platforms. The MCP works just fine in other tools (despite the continued disconnections - another thread).

I'm approaching month 4 and have no way of getting this to work.

OpenAI has formally embraced MCP but practically speaking, it is not the best client for MCP at the moment. Claude is far, far superior and more reliable.

I was playing with this over the weekend, but I also got stuck setting up the local bridge. As it's not really plug-and-play, I'm not sure how many people actually tried it. I know there were some discussions and questions about that integration here, but I don't recall anyone talking specifically about the post-config/setup part 👀

It would be great if there were some kind of tutorial on how to actually build this 🤔
I'll try to check with my colleagues who are more focused on dev part to help me out with the initial setup.
