Hello Team,
I've enabled backlog on my JIRA board however I'm seeing "MANH Development" apart from backlog.
I need help to get rid of this "MANH Development" section from the backlog view
Hello Haresh,
Welcome to community :)
On your board could you please confirm what is the first column name in the to do status category ?
This name is picked up from the same
Example
- on board
Backlog
So you can change the name from the board and it would reflect in the backlog
Thank You,
Prachi
Hello Prachi,
If I do so I'll end up having 2 backlog's one is the actual backlog list and another additional backlog as shown below

Hello Hareesh,
So when you create a kanban project, by default a backlog is not enabled
from the board configure we drag drop a status to have this enabled
So here the main backlog is the one without any issues tagged under it
the other backlog is the status its mapped to ( displayed on the board to do) and issues present in the board
you can change the name to avoid confusion,
You can also drag and drop issues from the backlog to the other backlog status that is the board
Thank You,
Prachi

Thanks for reaching out to the community,With the current way you've set this up, every ticket in status 'To Do', 'Open', 'On Hold', 'In Progress', 'Require More Info' , etc will appear in the 'Backlog' tab.
This 'Backlog' tab essentially allows you to triage/sort 'Backlog' tickets before pushing them through to your Kanban board
Here's some more info on how Backlogs work in Jira Cloud:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/backlog-946603732.html
If you would prefer not to use this functionality, you can always (like you've already mentioned) create a custom Column called 'Backlog', then drag and drop all the relevant statuses ('To Do', 'Open', 'On Hold', 'In Progress', 'Require More Info' , etc) there, then this would appear on the Kanban board,
Hope this helps!
