Hi,
Is there a way to create a Global template for each new idea type across all the spaces in Jira Product Discovery?
Yeah, the purpose is to standardise across the 38 spaces we have. This sounds like this will be a manual task of going through all 38 to make sure it's consistent.
Yes, exactly. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of a current JPD capability to centrally define an idea/create-form template and propagate it across existing spaces. The option to reuse an existing space configuration is more useful when creating new spaces, so it doesn't really solve your current use case.

Hi @Dionne McIntosh
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
If by “global template” you mean a template for creating ideas that is automatically available/applied across all Jira Product Discovery spaces, I don't believe JPD currently provides that capability.
Idea creation templates are configured at the space level. A space admin can go to the Create dialog -> Configure form, select each idea type, and configure its create form and Description template. This means you can have different templates for different idea types, but you would need to configure them in each JPD space.
You can check these docs.

If your main objective is to standardize JPD configuration across new spaces, there is another option: when creating a JPD space, Atlassian allows you to reuse the configuration of an existing space. This can help keep discovery spaces consistent.

JPD also supports global fields, which can be reused across multiple discovery spaces, but that's separate from idea/create-form templates.
