I've requested access to the Azure DevOps for JIRA, however, a warning came up stating that "This app is not hosted on Atlassian and may share data to undisclosed domains"
I would assume that this is referring to Azure DevOps, rather than the add-inn app itself. The documentation for the app doesn't really give much away. Can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere to reassure my admin?
I suppose their concern is that all data getes shared somewhere that's not relevant at all.
Hey @Tom LeeGough and welcome to Atlassian Community!
This isn't documentation per se but should help:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/integrate-azure-devops-with-jira/
Hope that helps!
Thanks, I had read that document. I think my admin's main concern is that the app sits on a third party server and then has access to our entire JIRA instance. So I'm looking for something that's really explicit about what the integration does.

Ah I see - are you looking at the moveworkforward (MWF) app/integration?

No, the Atlassian "official" one.

Hi,
Official app is not different to Move Work Forward app from data handling perspective.
I believe you have the warning because:
- an app sends/gets data to/from a 3rd party - it is an integration, there is no way around
- an app has analytics
We, MWF, can share with you the details how our app runs and where, to give you the confidence.
Btw, can you share please where you see the warning?
Thanks,
Leo | Move Work Forward

It wasn't your app, it was the official Atlassian one. I suppose, I just wanted more details on how the data was handled.
I can't add the app, it was our JIRA admin. I think it was at the point that they went to add it.
