Open Service Portal registration with existing account

Hello,

we are currently building an open support portal with self registration following this information:

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/change-global-customer-permissions/

Users who didn't register their mail with Atlassian yet work fine and are added into the customer list.

User that already have an Atlassian account with the e-mail they try to register with are denied access though since they don't get added as a customer automatically.

Is there a way to automatically allow them to access the portal or do we need to add them to the customers by hand?

Am I missing something here?

Best regards,

Jan

Hi @Jan Westphal

If al those users are in a group, add the group to the JSM project and grant the group the role Service Desk Customer.

Otherwise you have to add these users one by one and set the same role as above.

Or within the project go to the customer section (not in project settings) and add the by their email address.

Or check the User Access setting in Atlassian Administration, on any domain setting, adjust the product access. Set the default on JSM to Customer
