what happened to item count for delivery tickets?

JPD delivery status does not consider the ticket count for child items anymore. Parents only.

E.G. my idea has 3 epics connected. Now i can see the status for the 3 epics in the delivery progress bar. 1 To Do, 1 in progress, 1 Done. (Splitted bar in 3 different equal parts)

But afaicr child items have been considered as well. Now i cannot see the overall progress anymore. We do not use story points for everything.

As far as I remember this changed back sometime in 2023

What’s happening now:

  • Default mode: Counts the linked issue and its immediate children (one level deep) using either Work item count or Story points.
  • Simple mode: Ignores child items completely and only counts the linked issues.

Multi-level roll-up (e.g., Initiative → Epic → Story) isn’t supported anymore, it only goes one level deep.

What you can do

  • Check your settings:
    Idea → Delivery tab → Configure delivery progress → Default + Work item count.
  • If you need deeper roll-up, link each Epic directly to the idea or use automation to do it.
