Why are only some Jira Projects available to create Delivery items in Product Discovery?

C_ Martin July 23, 2025

We have set up Product Discovery to gather ideas for software development work.  However, when we attempt to create Delivery items from those Ideas, not all Jira projects are available in the drop-down.  How can we ensure that all our Jira projects are available to Product Discovery?

@C_ Martin, the most likely reason is project permissions. Determine a Jira project that you are unable to see within the JPD Delivery projects select list. For that project, check the permissions and ensure you have the permissions:

  • Browse Projects
  • Create Issues

Without these permissions, the project wouldn't be visible within a select list and you wouldn't have the ability to create work items within the project.

Thank you, Gary!  This is very helpful.

Sorry, Pramodh, this does not answer my question.  We have 15 projects set up in Jira.  Only 10 projects are available to Product Discovery.  Why would that be the case?
