Hi all! We've recently upgraded to JPD Premium and we have established four idea types: Opportunity, Solution, Experiment, and Dependency.
I'm having trouble creating a view where the teams can see the opportunities they are working on and the content in them (dependencies, experiments and solutions). I'm using List view showing all idea types, grouped by Opportunity and selecting only the ones that are mapped as Now, Next or Later. The rest of the backlog I don't need to see there.
The main problem for me here is that the filters and the sorting do not apply to the opportunity when this is as a group. I still see opportunities that are not as Now, Next, Later and I cannot see an order based on the RICE score.
Would you have any suggestions on how to create an effective view where teams can see and modify fields of all the idea types organised per opportunity?
Thanks!
Welcome to the community.
Can you provide visual information as well.

Hi @Marc -Devoteam- , thanks! :)
Yes ofc.
Here I have a view of all opportunities, where PMs evaluate each under RICE. Here we see the Opportunities X and XYZ are top in RICE score so they appear first in the board.
Then in the view "Opps details" I would ideally like to show all connected ideas to an opportunity; as that is where PMs will map Solutions and Experiments and have visual of all the components of the Opportunity they're working on. However, when I do that the Opportunities are not ranked according to RICE and it's also showing all of them, not only the ones according to the filters applied.
I hope this is somewhat helpful. Thanks a lot for reading!

Have you gone over the linked KB article?
Have you created a connection field, also the items under the Opportunities, don't have a rice score, so how would you be able to sort by Rice score.
In the view Opps details, you show Opportunities, but the Rice score is "0" for all, as this seems to be a sum of the rice score of the items under the Oppurtunity

Hii @Marc -Devoteam- , thank you for the comments.
I did read the article. I believe I have set up successfully the connection fields and linked ideas the right way for us. The only thing I couldn't find in my premium version is the 'match group" and "match column" options under connections.
Do you see any other gaps from my implementation vs the article? If so and you can kindly flag them I would be very grateful.
About the sum field, I understand. However I would expect that if opportunities have a rice score as they do have, the same rice score would also be taken into account in the other grouped by view. You see in practice, the team scores only the opportunities for now, so for us a SUM field wouldn't work (dependency type of ideas should not have a rice score and solutions we're still getting used to the idea of working with this type so no rice there yet).
