Unable to surface Roadmap value for Ideas linked from one project to another project

Hey all.  I'm learning my way around JPD and struggling on trying to surface the Roadmap field on ideas that are in my ideas (we call them Capabilities) project into a Initiatives Project where I've connected initiatives with capabilities.

I've confirmed that I have Roadmap values against the capabilities.  

When I add the field as the additional column (see right hand size), the values are not coming through to the initiatives card (left hand side).

I did realize that Roadmap is not a global field so I'm assuming that may relate to the issue.  (Im wondering if the Roadmap field I associated in the right hand pane is really just the roadmap field for Initiatives and not what i'm looking for which is the roadmap field associated to the related (connected) capabilities.

Any thoughts on this?

Hi @Andy Fieweger , yes for this to work the Roadmap field would need to be global. 

Thankfully you can move the values from the space field to a global field easily. From the FAQ: 

If you are already using a space Field in a space and you would like to use a Global Fields instead: you can use the “Copy Values” feature which helps you copy field values for all Ideas in a space from a space Field to a Global Field.

--> The roadmap field value you'll see next to each idea is the value of the field for those ideas. So, in your case, in the right sidebar, next to each capability, you'll see the roadmap field value for that capability
