Hi,
we work with JPD Standard & Jira Premium. Our work item setup is as follows:
Idea -> Initiative(s) -> Epic(s) -> Story/ies, etc.
We have around 20 dev teams and want to start with the 'Flight-Levels'-concept to coordinate our work better.
On Flight-Level 3 (strategy level), we want to show the simple relationship: Idea & linked Initiatives. For this, we want to work with JPD.
On Flight-Level 2 (coordination level), we want to show the full cascade: Initiatives -> Epics -> Stories. For this, we want to work with Jira Plans.
The FL2 Jira Plans setup works well.
However, on FL3, it would be helpful to visulize in the JPD-'Idea'-tile/list item, which initiatives are linked and are in which phase (now/next/later). I know that JPD Premium has the Hierarchies-feature and can visualize this, but afaik I would have to define a 'Solution'-item type in JPD to which I would then link the initiative (the JPD-'Solution' would then represent the 'Jira'-Initiative in JPD), which creates unnecessary bureaucracy.
So, in JPD, instead of just the number of linked items (screenshot 1)...
...I would like to see the name of the linked initiative there (screenshot 2)...
The needed info sits basically there in the JPD ticket details, but can't be shown on the higher level.
Hello @Benjamin Droege
Have you tried showing on the card the delivery progress or status? This is where you get that information from:
Keep in mind that progress rolls up from the level below, so for initiatives, you would see the number of epics in due, in progress, and done.
Additionally, I am currently looking into the connection between roadmaps and delivery.
Would you be interested in having a chat about your use case?
Hello Kamila, yes that would be great if we could chat.
