Jira product discovery new idea template not default in jira delivery

I have created a form template in Jira Product Discovery for anyone in the organisation to create an idea and populate the desired fields.

When teams who use Jira Delivery try to raise an idea to the Product Discovery project, they don't receive the custom form template and instead see all the fields available. Is it not possible that this template carries over between Discovery & Delivery, or would the idea creators need to be in the Product Discovery project or have a specific link to the form?

The template is specific to the idea work type in your JPD space.

From your question, it is not quite clear how teams who use Jira Delivery raise ideas. It sounds as if they do not create ideas directly in your JPD space, but are somehow directed through another form or channel? If that is true, you have probably answered your own question. The template is linked to the standard create work item form in your JPD space and nowhere else. So, to get the template, your users should create ideas directly in your JPD space.
