JPD - Highlight for Cards or Rows not functional with date fields

Christian Schmücker October 10, 2025

Hey there,

i defined some colors for date-fields. I want them to turn red, if the due date is surpassed. And I also want to highlight the card.

(I also want to color the whole card instead of just the left border, but I know, this is actually not planned as a feature).

But after configuring the date ist just black on a white background with no colouring. This only happens with datefileds, others work.

Is that a bug being worked on?
(I know, I could build some automation to compute the date and then autofill another fieldtype.)

Thanks in advance

Update: it's a bug for spaces/projects that are using a different language than English. We're on it!

Hi @Tanguy Crusson ,

thanks for the reply and being on it. :-D

Hi @Tanguy Crusson, I'm checking out the JPD Pre-Built Views (I love these, please share kudos with the team that developed them!) and I noticed that this supports similar card highlighting to what Christian shared above.

Please disregard – I found the setting!!!

However, I don't seem to have the toggle to enable/disable the Select field's color to apply to the card view (it was applied already when the Pre-Built View was imported to our workspace). I'd love to make use of this on our projects – do you know if this is a setting we need to enable in order to make use of the highlighting?

Thank you so much!

Lexie

Hi @Christian Schmücker , it's hard to tell if the set up is not working here because "projektziel" is in the future (Nov 2025). What happens if you change it to September 2025?

Christian Schmücker October 10, 2025

Argh, wrong screenshot.

it stays the same, if the date is in the past. No visual clues.

Okay we found what's up! It looks like it's only happening in JPD spaces/projects that are not on the English language for some weird reason. We'll fix this! Thanks for reporting this.
