Integrate ClickUP Project Status to Jira Product Discovery Roadmp

Andy Bailey

I use Jira Prodcut Discovery to manage our roadmap and Jira for development work. I've linked the two together so I can see progress in the  "Development progress" field on the roadmap.

For non development tasks (go to market plans, internal training, 3rd party dependancies etc) we use ClickUp. I'd love to be able to track the progress of these non development tasks on the Jira Product Discovery roadmap too, but haven't found a way to do this. Any suggestions?

This is a known limitation. JPD's Delivery Progress field specifically tracks linked Jira work items, so there's no native way to feed ClickUp task progress into it.

The most practical workaround is creating lightweight Jira issues that mirror your ClickUp tasks and linking those to your JPD ideas. They don't need to carry the actual work, just act as status proxies. When a ClickUp task moves to "Done," the corresponding Jira issue gets updated and JPD picks up the change automatically. You could reduce the manual overhead with Jira Automation rules triggered by webhooks from ClickUp, or with ClickUp's native Jira integration to sync statuses.

Alternatively, skip Delivery Progress for non-dev work entirely and use a custom JPD field (dropdown or percentage) that you update manually. It won't auto-calculate, but it's simpler than maintaining phantom Jira issues.

The only way to do this would be to sync clickup with a Jira project and show the progress that way. But then again, might as well use Jira for non-development tasks.
