Hi there - I'm seeing documentation here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/import-data-from-a-csv-file/ that you can import work items (like Features) into JPD with a pre-defined status as long as it maps to one of the values in the Workflow. However, with our instance, I'm not seeing any field to map to Status on import. Nothing in the Jira items section, nothing called Idea Status. What am I missing?
Thanks!
Jon
Hi Jon, Welcome to the Atlassian Community
You’re probably using the basic CSV import inside the project. That one doesn’t let you set the Status, it just puts everything in the default workflow status.
To choose the Status during import, you need to use the admin option: Settings -> System -> External System Import -> CSV (and you’ll need Jira admin access).

@Gunjan Kumar So, I had our admin review this, and he said we can't use External System Import -> CSV for Jira Product Discovery work to be imported, only on Jira projects. Is that true?
Ultimately, we started with Jira Cloud, but we don't have a 1:1 space mapping between Jira Cloud and JPD for various reasons, so it seems like we have to import into JPD from an export from Jira via CSV with some massaging of the content prior to import. Is there any way to do this and still force map a status into the JPD feature?

@Jon Linczak Right now, the only option is to import first and then update the statuses afterward.
