We're using a Jira Product Discovery board to manage our marketing campaign launches and projects. The views in JPD are a better fit for our needs as a marketing team compared to a Jira Software board.
The main limitation we're facing is the lack of granular timeline views—we can’t zoom in beyond a monthly view, and we don’t have access to the paid calendar feature. Do you have any recommendations for managing a marketing calendar within JPD?
Hi @Peyton Macias and welcome to the Community!
Jira Product Discovery is built for product roadmaps that span different time horizons than a marketing campaigns, I'm afraid.
Jira has a lot more than software projects. I totally get what you're saying about software boards, but you can create more suitable marketing projects in Jira as well, using timeline and even calendar views to track your work.
There even is a learning path for marketing teams here in community learning that can help you get started on the right foot: launch successful marketing projects in jira learning path.
Hope this helps!

@Peyton Macias have you considered using a "work management" project template? We're optimizing Jira Product Discovery for product management use cases, and things like daily calendars are generally not a good practice for them.
We're going to review the granularity of the timeline view based on the feedback we got from customers, but I don't think we'll optimize for daily granularity.

I did consider it and we felt like the views in JPD were more helpful than those in the jira software project.
