I have been working on Jira Cloud in a space that uses a template to be able to get a Waterfall way of working.

I have several initiatives inside of that Space and I want to be able to visualize all of them in a Roadmap and Timeline view, is there a functionality that I can use in order to keep looking at the updated status on that same Space?

Hello Alex,

If you have initiatives in Jira, they cannot be visualized in Jira Product Discovery.

however, the goal of Jira Product Discovery is to have your initiatives in Jira for your engineers, and so they can work in waterfall, and there you can you can let your engineer add the fields and the description etc they want, and then in Jira Product Discovery you can have ideas that are linked to these initiatives, and so you can display the fields you want, the description you want etc.

However, if you want them to be linked and to be kept in sync for some data, you can also, using automations for exemple.

But we have designed Jira Product Discovery to be for a different audience than Jira Software, so we assume that not all what's relevant for PMs is relevent for engineers and vice versa. you can read more about how to use Jira Product Discovery + Jira Software here : how Jira and Jira Product Discovery fit together or via this webinar
