Has anyone been able to add Jira Service Desk Customers to Jira Product Discovery as Contributors?

I am trying to Add People as Contributors to a Jira Product Discover Project but when I go to add people by email, my Jira Service Desk Customers are not found.

As they are not users licensed to Jira or JSM, you would need to add them to your "jira-product-discovery-contributors-instancename" group for them to be able to be added as Contributors within a JPD project.

But first, you will have to add them as a user to your instance. JSM customers are not regular users.

Yes, to both! I would only recommend you do that if the JSM customers are internal to your company. Adding external people (e.g. customers) to your site's user base would be a bad idea.
