Group or filter by Custom field

Hi

I created a New custom Field and would like to Group by and/or Filter  by that field when creating a new view.

However, the field does not present in the list of fields available for selection when Grouping or filtering.

How might I do that?

Hi Judy,

It might depend on the field type you’ve chosen for your custom field. 

I’m guessing here, but I believe groups have similar limitations to columns. Which means only certain types of custom fields are supported.

An alternative approach would be to use labels rather than a new field.  You can then group by and/or filter on the label values, (and ignore/hide other labels you don't care about in your view).
