Hi — I’m seeing a issue in Jira Product Discovery with the Create ideas form configuration.
In a JPD space, we configured Space settings → Create ideas:
“Customize the create form for each type”
Create form driven by a view (minimal fields)
A Description template applied for the type (Idea / Opportunity)
Example: For Idea, the configured create form is intentionally very minimal (Summary + Description template only), and it works correctly at first.
When a user opens the Space dropdown in the Create modal (blue create button at the top of the screen), the form seems to “break” and falls back to a huge default form (many additional fields appear, including irrelevant/unsupported fields and formula-type content that renders poorly). Even if the user returns to the original space, the modal stays in the broken state until closed.
Go to a JPD space with a configured create form (Space settings → Create ideas → per-type view + template)
Click Create
Confirm the form is correct (minimal fields + description template)
In the Create modal, click the Space dropdown and even just clicking around on spaces but not switching
Observe the create form expands/reverts to a large default field set / loses the configured create form
Close the modal (X/Cancel) and reopen Create.
Avoid touching the Space dropdown.

User role: happens in Contributor preview (and possibly other roles — still testing)
Is this a known issue with the JPD Create modal?
Is there a fix or recommended configuration to prevent the modal from falling back to the default form when the Space dropdown is opened?
