The use case is the following:
When reviewing newly submitted ideas, PM/PO and selected Engineering leads should have the ability to comment on a given idea, but not expose the comment to other stakeholders, such as sales or support agents. Essentially a concept of Internal comment vs Public comment
Is there a way to do this?
Hi @Francisco Sanchez Currently, Jira Product Discovery doesn’t support true internal vs. public comments within the same idea — all comments are visible to anyone who has access to the project. I've noted this as an opportunity for improvement.
In the meantime, I recommend trying one of the suggested work arounds.
You could also use private Confluence pages linked to collaborate on ideas and link them to ideas in JPD
Hope this helps!
Hi @Francisco Sanchez
I'm one of the founders of Released, the app @Daniel Pierce mentioned in this thread.
Providing a tailored view for stakeholders and the ability to comment and provide feedback separately from internal comments is what we designed the app for.
Our public roadmap is a good example of what the stakeholder view looks like.
Let me know if you have any questions.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
We manage this process by sepearting internal (team) communication from stakeholder communication using a marketplace app.
In short:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
+1 for this request
Asked for this a while ago too in this forum comment: link
We have published multiple roadmap views in JPD, but can't have a discussion on those published items in the comments because those will be visible to the "outside-world". A major limitation for us currently.
