Hi everyone,
We’re excited to share that in the coming weeks, we’ll begin rolling out the first automation in Focus: Jira Work Linking. It will give your teams the ability to automate and customize Jira work connections in Focus.
This new feature is part of our ongoing efforts to streamline object linking in Focus and make it easier for leaders to keep focus areas up-to-date.
The Jira Work Linking Automation will be available to configure in Jira Automation Platform. You’ll be able to:
Set up automated work linking for as many focus areas as you need
Define Jira work items to link based on criteria like:
Team
Assignee
Priority level
Work item type
Project
…and more
When the automation is released, we will post again here with a link to our detailed support documentation, as well as via our release notes.
No action is needed now. If you want a head start at configuring permissions for users who will set up automations, you can make sure they have:
A Focus User role in Atlassian Administration
Project Admin role in the Jira projects connected to their focus area(s)
This is just the start. We’re actively building additional automation use cases, including:
Advanced linking and management of Work, Goals, Ideas, and more
Notifications in Slack, Microsoft Teams, and email
Proactive insights that connect strategy to execution
📣 We’d love your input. Tell us what automations would help your team work better and more efficiently in Focus.
Thanks for being part of the Focus community!
