Hello,
Does Crowd supports organization structures like trees?
For example, think about such organization tree:
Orgchart.jpg
For example I would like to create a project for "Advertising Unit" but their manager "Marketing Manager" should see that project and issues and his manager "Managing Director" should see that project and issues, but "Sales Unit" shouldn't see that project and issues (even project names).
Thank you
Hi John,
In this case what you need are nested groups: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CROWD/Nested+Groups+in+Crowd
You would have an "Advertising Unit Group" that contains some users and the "Manager Marketing sub-Group", which itself contains some other users and the "Managing Director sub-Group". Then you would give the "Advertising Unit Group" the rights to see your project.
Best regards,
Bruno
