unable to edit/delete existing calendar events form Calendar in Confluence cloud

I'm unable to select an existing event from the Calendar so unable to edit the item or delete it.
Confluence Cloud
not a Jira issue
Calendar is importing some Jira data - eg Sprints but events I'm trying to edit/delete are items added directly into the calendar via Confluence
I'm an Atlassian suite Admin so unsure where the restriction may be coming from - none added to the calendar or Confluence space or page the calendar is embedded

- I just discovered hover over the item/issue and hold shift and mouse click to open the item to edit -on Mac + Safari
