Did you mean:

to connect a project to confluence - what is an 'Item' in this case

I'm attempting to connect two projects in jira to their pages in confluence. They are the same cloud instance. I've done the linkages on both sides to the Space and Projects.

In Jira they are two separate projects.

In Confluence each Jira Project has multiple pages in the same Confluence Space.

I am failing when it comes to connecting to the Top Page for the Project. I can connect easily to the Space - but the Space is for the entire department and the important information for the team is about 4 layers deep.

When I open the Connect project to Confluence from Jira, it has 'Choose a space or item to connect to your project.' What constitutes an 'item'? I imagine if I can make the page an Item it will propagate onto this list of things I can select to link to.

(My current work around is to use the hyperlink to connect to the top level page for each project - which defeats the purpose of the 'pages' functionality.

Hello @Garth Smitman

An "item" in this context is a specific page within a Confluence space.

If you pull down the selection list you will see a list of Spaces followed by a list of Items (i.e. pages).

If you type in search criteria the list will condense to Spaces and Pages where the title contains your search terms.
