slowness, questions: ugrade confluence 7.13.20 to 7.19.16 and postgresql 9.6 to 13.1

Ndofunsu November 15, 2023

Hi,

We have problems with ugrading confluence 7.13.20 to 7.19.16 and postgresql 9.6 to 13.1

object: migration from A : confluence 7.13.20 (postgresql 9.6) to B : confluence 7.19.16 ( postgresql 13.10)

A : server1 : confluence 7.13.20 and server2 : postgresql 9.6
B : server3 : confluence 7.19.16 and server4 : postgresql 13.10

actions done:

confluence: from server1 to server3
on server3 : install of confluence 7.19.16
on server1 : rsync command to copy /data/atlassian and /data/attachments from server1 to server3

postgresql : from server2 to server4
on server4 : pg_dumpall on network to retrieve database hosted on server2 (pg9.6)

problems:

Now when connected to confluence on server 3, while navigating accross ressources the access time is sometimes long and changes on pages are not always possible and have to be executed again

Best regards,

Roger

@Ndofunsu you will want to start with the same version of confluence on both instances and then upgrade after the migration of the old instance.  Here is documentation on how to migrate servers.  https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/migrating-confluence-between-servers-184150.html
