I have admin access to a space. I have changed the access to the top page in this space to "Editing Restricted" and gave permission to Everyone to view and 3 other people to View and Edit. However, everyone can create child pages under this top page. How do I restrict Everyone to be able to create child pages from the top page?
Hi @jsflysrc - the only "right" way to restrict adding pages would be to set the space permissions as @Kian Stack Mumo Systems mentioned. Just give the groups only a "view" in groups permissions. -> see documentation here
But what could be a sneaky peaky workaround is to just hide the create button with an addon. One of my favourites is Hide Elements - just add it to your page and it let's you easily hide what you want. Attention - that only hides the element and won't restrict users from creating a page. (Shortcut C would still work) but maybe when users don't see the button they don't get the idea ;)
Jsflysrc,
You cannot do what you are asking unless you remove the "Add page" permission for the entire space from a majority of the users. Restricting edit permissions on a page does not prevent new pages from being created underneath them.
Thanks,
Kian
