"Edit File" feature not opening file to edit

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
When I try to edit files in my space, I click the "Edit File" button and Confluence prompts the download of the Companion app. This only happens in 1 or 2 spaces and not all of them. I also don't see an option to download for PC as we do not use Mac. I am sure there is a space setting or something that I am missing. I appreciate your help!
