page created from Template -table of contents macro showing numbers

hi,

we use Confluence 5.10 server.

i created a page template and have table of contents macro in the template.

when users create pages using this macro - every page is showing a numbering in contents(1 to 3) even though there is no text in those blocks of text( i added column & section macros for each block of text.)

any ideas ? this is how it shows on every page that is created using this template.

Is there a value in the macros?  Have you set a variable?  What else is in the template?
