hello

we are currently testing the Confluence/Jira Cloud version before migration.

In this list https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/learn-which-macros-are-being-removed/

I miss these plugins:

  • labeled incoming
  • CQL Search

neither seem to work in Cloud, nor is a conversion or alternative proposed.

Any chance this will still come (soon) ?

tx, Sandra

Hello @Sandra Dumas

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

"CQL Search" appears to be a macro in Confluence Data Center that was provided by a third party app. You will have to determine if you have that same third party app in your Cloud instance and if the same macro is supported by it there.

Or you can review this 2024 post for information on how CQL can be used natively through the UI in Confluence Cloud.

https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-questions/Where-to-use-write-CQL-in-the-Confluence-UI-to-get-a-list-of/qaq-p/2826889

In my Internet search I didn't find any information about a Confluence Data Center macro called "labeled incoming". Perhaps that was a custom macro created by your company for your Data Center instance.

In both cases you should check with your Confluence administrators about availability of replacements.

hi, thanks for the answers. CQL Search does not seem to be a third party app? See  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-83654?jql=project%20%3D%20CONFCLOUD%20AND%20component%20%3D%20%22Search%20-%20Automation%20and%20Indexing%22

We use the CQL Search in Server based Conlfuence extensively to create dynamic lists in saved pages we can share (so we're not looking for a tool that will show the information on the fly in the UI)

Looking forward to your feedback,

Sandra

The item you referenced is not talking about a CQL search macro. It is talking about the underlying and native CQL search functionality in Cloud that can be used in Automation Rules and native REST API endpoints.

I believe if you review your Confluence server environment you will find that the macro is provided by a third party app.

Check the list of installed plugins to look for one that may be providing the macro.

You can also look at the source code for a page that includes the macro and find the code related to it, which should include the "code" name for the macro. Unfortunately I don't have access to a Confluence Server/Data Center environment to provide an example of how that looks.
