is there any free options for importing an excel spreadsheet into confluence

I need to import an excel spreadsheet into Confluence. All of the suggestions require a purchase of additional software like Elements Spreadsheet

What do you mean by "import"? 

You can easily attach a spreadsheet, like any other file, and if you do that, you can also use macros on a page to extract data from the attachment for display in the body.

But I don't think I know what you mean by "import"?

you are correct - I can attach an excel spreadsheet and view it using the office excel macro but can't edit it in Confluence like a spreadsheet.  So I'm looking for something like the Elements Spreadsheet app except for free if one exists
