i would like to create a new child page, but when i click on + i dont get the menu

i would like to create a new child page, but when i click on + i dont get the menu.

I have created many pages and usually click the + sign to get a menu asking what i want to create and i select page.  but when i click the +, i dont get the menu to appear.  please help!

Hey @Ken Navarro,

Is this a space where you have all the relevant permissions/created pages before?

If this is not related to permissions, you might want do check your browser console for errors and/or retry with a cleared browser cache/in incognito mode.

thank you for the response.  i have created pages in this space previously, but is there a way for me to check whether i have lost the permissions somehow?

I can confirm that i can create pages in other spaces in the same browser and other users can create pages in this space, where i cannot.

I assume you're "only" a user? In that case your options to troubleshoot are rather limited and your administrator might be the one to reach out for.

Two additional things that came to my mind:

• Are you able to use the main "+ Create" button from the top bar in the space of interest?
• Is adding pages not available in general in the space of interest or just as a child page for a specifc parent?

I was able to use the "+ Create" button at the top of bar in the space of interest to create a child page for the specific parent.  I dont know why that worked when it wasnt possible to create from the parent page directly, but im happy that my issue has been resolved.  

I guess it is some kind of bug.

I'm glad to hear that it's working now. However, if the problem persists, you might want to file a request at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ in order to verify whether this is a bug.
