http2 for Confluence with reverse proxy?

Hi Community!

Did anyone manage to configure http2 for Confluence (and Jira)?

I know Confluence does not support http2 on tomcat directly: CONFSERVER-58307
So I thought to put an apache reverse proxy in front of it but on the mod_proxy_http2 page I'm reading: 

it does not provide any downgrades to HTTP/1.1. This means that the backend needs to support HTTP/2 because HTTP/1.1 will not be used instead.

Does this mean there is no way to achieve this with apache?

Looking at the documentation I believe you are correct.  If you have http2 setup on the proxy then the application must support it as well.
