how to modify the size of thumbnails image on gallery macro...

I need to modify the size of thumbnails on gallery macro... when it is displayed, exceed the width of the page, and inside the confluence macro VM I found "$thumb.getThumbnailImageHtml(null)"... this function paste the htmlcode of the image (with width and height)...
PLEASE HELP...
