I have a page that has oembed provider support for video, but when I paste that link into confluence page does not show the embed option for that link.
What should I do to allow it, do we need to whitelist the domain?

You can read the documentation regarding the Widget Connector Macro which will guide you on how to embed the video content into a Confluence page. There are some origins that are supported natively, and others that require whitelisting.
