how to count columns with filters on pivot table

Andrei Trif January 26, 2024

Hello, my problem looks like this:

I have some data from Jira which is Responsible Team, ASPICE Area and status.
I have a pivot table on X is name of the team and on Y is Aspice area and to the intersection of this two is the status of the ticket( new, in progress, done,...)
This is put as literal in table, but I want to know how many is for every Aspice area and how many for every team, for every aspice area are done but I don't know how to do the sum for every team, because in the setting of the filter I cant count, just add the numbers.

And if I use count from pivot table first it will count every status fist and then when count totally the number will be doubled

Hi @Andrei Trif ,

We can suggest playing with the Pivot Table macro and creating two-dimensional pivot tables:

Now your table headers include Teams, Areas and Statuses, so the calculations can be performed automatically.

Hope it helps your case.
