I am interested in getting to know if the Trello account is financially or organizationally attached to the account of confluence? Or are they completely seperate and it does not make any impact if I have one or both apps?
Hello there!
You can rest assured that pricing and billing for Confluence and Trello are separate, Petra. You do not need to have one to use the other nor the billing of one affects the billing of another.
You can also check the Billing for Confluence and Trello in the following links:
The only link between them is when we start speaking about Board Visibility And Trello Access. This is due to the fact that Trello also has permissions and the Confluence integration respects those. Excerpt from our documentation:
Respects permissions: Before you can see a card or board, you'll be asked to sign in to Trello. Any content you don't have permission to see will display a note letting you know that you don't have the necessary access to view it yet.
This means that if you need someone who does not have a Trello account to see Trello content, you may need to set the board as Public, as specified here:
Changing the visibility of a board to public, private, or team
If your board can not be visible from outside, you may need to create Trello accounts for everyone who needs to access Trello content.
For more information on the usage of Trello and Confluence Cloud you can check our documentation on this right here:
Use Trello and Confluence together
Currently, we do not have a native way of integrating Confluence Server and Trello. Here you can check our open suggestions on this:
Let me know if this helps you out Petra! Looking forward to your reply.
