In confluence there is a macro to create issues from jira. The macro does not allow you to choose to fill in custom fields, for example. Can you tell me if there is a solution to create Jira issues from confluence, and maybe fill in a custom field in the Jira form?
Hi @[deleted]
instead of using a the macro, you can also choose to build the link to the issue create form yourself as described in this knowledge base article. The article is about Jira Server/Data Center but it's also valid for Jira Cloud as well.
This solution is a bit technical since it involves dealing with IDs. If you want to find out the ids, the easiest way I know is doing it like that:
If this method is too technical for you, I'd recommend to search for an app in the Atlassian Marketplace.
Cheers,
Matthias.
@Matthias Gaiser _K15t_ Thanks for your reply, I'll give it a try and see if I can solve it. You see I don't program, and I work with clients at business level. Often my clients and I like them too, we don't want to program, we would like to understand why certain "gestures" that are normal in the business world, it seems that in Atlassian they are not known and the functions of the product are thought, it seems, by people who have never really worked in the business world. Alright, anyway, I will try your solution, meanwhile I accepted your answer.
Thank you.
