convert existing text to note

Lot of times I have existing content / text. And i think that would be good to post as a warning or a note. Currently I am inserting the "note" macro and then doing cut/paste of the text. 

Is there a way to convert existing text without having to cut paste?

I've just tried it myself and I couldn't find a way to do it without doing the cut/paste unfortunately.
